Design - CAD/CAM At MRG, our engineers can bring life to your drawings exactly as specified, or begin with your concept and completely design the necessary die, mold, fixture or special machine. ![]() Either way, MRG engineers with full 3-D and Solids CAD/CAM support can help you with Design for Manufacturability (DFM). In the DFM process for dies or molds, we can work with you to assure that the product design itself facilitates stamping or molding. Modifications in the part design when it is on paper or the CAD screen can save die and mold costs, as well as increase efficiency in your manufacturing operation. In DFM for jigs, fixtures and special machines, we design the equipment not only for its intended discreet function but also as an integral part of your manufacturing process. We can work with you to assure that the equipment integrates smoothly into your manufacturing operation and contributes to meeting overall production objectives. MRG's Design and development capabilities have increased tremendously over the years. With the advent of Computer Aided Design and Computer Aided Manufacturing the design room has seen a great transformation. From drafting tables and blue-print machines of the past to computer workstations and color plotters of the present. MRG continues to invest in state of the art design and manufacturing equipment. The current workstations in our CAD/CAM department consist of Windows based computers. These stations are running Keycreator, Solid Edge, Pro/Engineer, VX, MasterCam and CAMAX.
